Hey there stranger, thanks for doing a drive by on this page.

I’m sure you’ve figured this out by now, smarty pants, but let me introduce myself anyway—as a gentleman should.

My name is Krister Ungerböck.

Nice to “meet” you.

Now, you’re probably wondering, “Krister, why did you decide to advertise your dating profile on Facebook?”

I was struck by the frustration—and sometimes fear—expressed by female friends over online dating. “I rarely use online dating sites. Too many socially inept and inappropriate messages from men,” they said.

When I added up my monthly cost for dating apps and mediocre dates, it cost about the same to run Facebook ads. And with Facebook ads, I suspected that I’d reach fabulous women who rarely use online dating apps.

(And, if it helps me spread the word about my book, that’s a bonus! Please share the trailer of my upcoming book at The Language of Leadership: Words to Transform How We Lead, Live and Love so I can use these ads as a business expense :)

I’ve always found inspiration in the closing words of the Robert Frost poem The Road Not Taken, “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by.”

And so, I took the road less traveled by—I decided to experiment with Facebook ads.

It must be working, because here you are.

But, enough about me, let’s talk about you…

The woman I’m hoping to meet has a positive outlook on life and passion for an active, healthy lifestyle. She’s got a good head on her shoulders, loves to learn, and has a great sense of style. And while she doesn’t need to be a modern-day Marco Polo, a healthy desire to see the world won’t hurt…

  • Known to frequently do that thing called “exercise”

  • Not much of a cook… but great at making reservations

Keep reading by all means, but what more do you need to know?

If a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words is a video worth? To get a more three-dimensional sense of who I am before contacting me, check out the video trailer I filmed in early 2019 for the book at (If you decide to share the video trailer for my book on social media, you get bonus points. Just sayin’)

Still not convinced?

For work, I’ve held a spectrum of business positions from CEO at a software company, to management consultant, to author. These days I’m focused on my book -- I’m working with the publisher on getting it polished up and onto store shelves.

Since my work hours are flexible, it gives me plenty of time to enjoy the important things in life like spending time with my 2 kids. I like to stay in shape too, so I’m often running trails, biking, or hiking in Castlewood. And when it’s time for a change of scenery, maybe a trip somewhere fun like California.

local hot spots: The Lewis & Clark Trail for a run or Katy Trail for a bike ride to wineries. (May need help riding the bike after the winery.) Any restaurant serving sushi or authentic Indian/Thai dishes. Hosting guests over at my house.

Hint: Can be lured in with sushi.

favorite things: Spending time with my kids. Teaching seminars on communication, business, and leadership. Running - recently I finished my first ultra-marathon.

for fun: Traveling places like Colorado. Biking, running, live music.

last read: Psychology Today. New Yorker. Ok, so technically magazines...
